Creative Continuity Policy
Last Updated: Whenever We Return To It
This document is not legally binding in any meaningful way.
It does, however, outline several observations that Kinndling believes are generally worth keeping in mind.
SECTION 1 — CREATIVE DRIFT
1.1. Ideas do not always arrive on schedule.
1.2. Wandering attention is occasionally part of the process.
1.3. Curiosity remains an acceptable use of time.
1.4. Extended periods of wondering are not necessarily cause for concern.
SECTION 2 — UNFINISHED WORK
2.1. Unfinished projects still matter.
2.2. Returning after weeks, months, or years still counts as returning.
2.3. Temporary inactivity should not automatically be interpreted as abandonment.
2.4. A project may remain alive even while appearing dormant.
SECTION 3 — OBSERVATIONS
3.1. Some days are only for noticing things.
3.2. Observation remains a valid form of participation.
3.3. Carrying the notebook still counts, even when nothing gets written down.
3.4. Small details are frequently overlooked by hurried environments.
SECTION 4 — CREATIVE DETOURS
4.1. If an idea suddenly becomes more important than shopping, following the idea is permitted.
4.2. Abandoned shopping carts resulting from creative detours shall not be held against the visitor.
4.3. The website will remain available should you choose to return later.
SECTION 5 — ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
5.1. Walking gives thoughts somewhere to move.
5.2. Different environments produce different kinds of thinking.
5.3. Temporary distance from notifications, urgency, and excessive input is occasionally beneficial.
SECTION 6 — CREATIVE PRESSURE
6.1. The pressure to create can sometimes interfere with creativity itself.
6.2. Not every creative day produces visible evidence.
6.3. Small acts of attention still help keep projects alive.
6.4. Continuity is generally more useful than intensity.
SECTION 7 — SHARED EXPERIENCE
7.1. Most people are overstimulated, not uninspired.
7.2. Ideas are easier to lose than most people realize.
7.3. Creative life benefits from occasional stewardship.
SECTION 8 — POLICY REVISIONS
8.1. This document may evolve over time.
8.2. Some ideas require multiple visits.
8.3. Revisions may occur whenever new observations become available.
Thank you for spending some time with Kinndling.
